Saint Michael the Archangel isn’t a saint in the traditional sense, but an angel, and the leader of all angels and of the army of God. He is there to combat Satan, lead the faithful to their heavenly home at the hour of their death, and to support and defend all Christians and the Church. He is also a patron saint of the military, police and doctors.

St. Michael Prayer

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
